Our International Academy for Professional Development courses are run over the Zoom Platform in real time or in-house include Certificates and Diplomas in Coaching, Psychological Coaching, Coaching Psychology, and Stress Management & Performance Coaching. The Diplomas in Psychological Coaching and Coaching Psychology are at an advanced level. All the courses are modular allowing learners to attend in 2 or 5-day blocks.
The Centres and Academy run Institute of Leadership (IoL) Approved Programmes.
The Advanced Diploma in Coach Training is accredited by the Association for Coaching, a leading professional independent professional body. The Centre for Coaching is a founding member of the Association. Our Director, Professor Stephen Palmer was the first President of the Association and is an Honorary Fellow. In 2016 he was appointed Adjunct Professor of Coaching Psychology in the Department of Communication and Psychology, Aalborg University, Denmark. In 2018 he was appointed Professor of Practice at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
The programmes are also recognised for CPD purposes by the International Society for Coaching Psychology and the International Academy and Centre for Coaching are Approved Centres. The British Psychological Society approves many of our our Centre for Coaching and Centre for Stress Management 2-day Primary and extended Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma programmes for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
The Academy is a member of the North West Cyber Resilience Centre (NWCRC). The Centre was established in 2019 as the first centre in the country and a pathfinder to the Home Office. The Cyber Resilience Centre is a trusted, not-for-profit venture between the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit and Manchester Digital.
